Scholarship Description

Educational Scholarship Awards - This project is designed to help ease the financial hardship placed upon individuals with disabilities and their families as they pursue their education. This scholarship is a one-time $800 award for Arkansans with disabilities who are seeking higher education and/or vocational training.

Field of Study

    A course of instruction in a highly technical field offered by a public or private postsecondary education institution, and which has been approved by the Vocational and Technical Education Division of the Department of Education.

Minimum Requirement

If you have received a scholarship from the Governor’s Commission in the past, please do not re-apply since you can no longer receive the scholarship more than once. Also, you must be accepted into a 2 or 4-year college, university, or vocational training program in Arkansas to be awarded the scholarship.
