Certified Nursing Assistants provide basic care for patients including giving baths, measuring vital signs, moving them, and helping them to eat and use the bathroom.


A CNA program, which lasts 4-12 weeks, must be completed before someone can work as a CNA. These programs contain a combination of classroom and hands-on experience.

CNAs work in a variety of medical settings including hospitals, nursing care facilities, retirement communities, and in home healthcare.
