Medical and Health Services Managers manage medical facilities, departments, or practices for groups of physicians. They keep up with changes in legislation and make sure their facilities conform to all regulations.


A four-year bachelor's degree in health administration, public health administration, nursing, or a related field is necessary to obtain this position. A higher degree (master's) in a related field, which may take an additional two-three years to earn, would be more valuable and may be necessary to obtain positions in some organizations.
